Northeast Sectional Director's Message
Greetings,
It is indeed an honor to be the Sectional Director of the Northeast Section during this centennial year. When our four founders met in Washington DC to discuss forming this organization, as the College Alumnae Club, little was it known that we would become a national organization in thirteen years. Therefore, we are now the historic Northeast Section, one of the five Sections that comprise the National Association of University Women located throughout the United States.
The geographic region of the Northeast Section is from Washington D.C. to Maine. At this time we are primarily located in Washington DC to New York. It is my hope to move beyond to other geographic locations within this Northeast Section during my tenure as Director.
The dynamic women of this Section carry out the mandated program of National through very creative means. This Section is dedicated to our youth and we are among the highest in awarding scholarships to students graduating from high schools in our various communities. Our community projects include mentoring youth, tutoring, and literacy projects for adults and youth.
